How far do you want to go?

- there is always more ..

Hanne Bom

I was born in Denmark in 1940 but lived in New Zealand from

the age of 10, so I have always felt that I belonged to both countries.

I returned to Denmark in 1957, and the next 25 years I worked

first within the business world and then with adult education

after 6 years at university.

In the early 1980s I trained with Ken Dychtwald (author of the book ”Bodymind”) together with a number of pioneers from the Esalen Institute of California, and this became my real change of career. I was very excited about body psychology and

this amazing holistic and experiential approach to personal growth.

This was what I wanted – and this became my Passion.

I worked with bodymind therapies in Denmark teaching body psychology at some of the first institutes for alternative medicine in Denmark, and I also worked as a freelance trainer at Akti’s ”Positive Power and Influence” courses for business people.

These were pioneering days in the new science of body psychology, and I wanted more. From 1986 I travelled extensively to find out what was happening within

”The Human Potential Movement” abroad, and to facilitate workshops and seminars

- and in 1989 I settled first in Australia and then in New Zealand and established Bodymind Institute in both countries.

In 1996 I returned to Denmark to be closer to my young grandchildren, and Bodymind Institute was established in Denmark in 1997.

Some years ago I listened to a tape by Wayne Dyer. He talks about our unused ressources and says ”Don’t die with your Music still in you”.

His words resonnated deeply in me. I had created and developed a 4–year training course in ”The Bodymind Method” and had by then trained 20 people in Denmark to become ”Bodymind Facilitators" – and I had taken hundreds of people through the 1-year basic Bodymind training course in Australia, New Zealand and Denmark.

It had been an amazing journey for 20 years of my life – and I had certainly heard and utilized a lot of ”my Music” during that time. But what about the other tones or frequencies that I only sensed somewhere deep within me?

I wanted to explore those ressources, and I wanted to know all the tones in my Music.

Working with Bodymind has been the most important part of my life, because I found that this approach to personal growth works. It worked for me, and I have seen it work for hundreds of other people. I know that each one of us has a unique ability – that we have much more in us than we realize, and we can find that special ability if we dare to venture deeply into ourself.

I want to contribute with whatever I can at this time of transition - therefore this website. The Bodymind Way is my passion, and I would like to share that knowledge with whoever may want it.
